Albert L. Ousborne, D.D.S., specializes in cosmetic and prosthodontic dentistry, including implant prosthodontics. He is certified by the Maryland State Board to limit his practice to prosthodontics. In private practice for 50 years, he is a past president of the AADPA , an international organization limited to 250 of the finest, most well-managed dental practices in the world. He has practiced with Thomas C. Keller, D.D.S., since 1977.
A 1964 graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Ousborne has lectured and taught clinical prosthodontics at the dental school, in the U.S. and abroad. His experience includes placement of over 35,000 restorations in his career. He also has earned more than 2500 hours in postgraduate continuing education courses on cosmetic, prosthodontic, and implant dentistry. An active member of numerous professional dental organizations, including the American Prosthodontic Society; past President of Baltimore County Dental Association; American College of Dentists; International College of Dentists; Pierre Fauchard Academy; the Baltimore Association of Dental Surgeons, the oldest dental study club in the world; and America’s top dentists , he contributes articles to various journals, textbooks, and periodicals and served on the Editorial Board of the largest circulating journal in dentistry. For over 15 years, Dr. Ousborne has written in “ Dental Economics,” both feature dental articles and a column called “ Tips to Take You to the Top,” which recommends techniques to dentists all over the U.S.
Dr. Ousborne and his wife, Peggy, have two sons and live on the Chesapeake Bay in Baltimore County. One son, Patrick, is a prosthodontist and joined his father in practice in 1999. Son, Jeffrey, has a doctorate in English literature at Boston College and teaches in Boston at various universities. Dr. Ousborne’s hobbies include teaching dentistry, music, travel, and cruising the Chesapeake Bay aboard the Fantasy II.
